Auckland DHB (ADHB) and Waitemata DHB (WDHB) have been working collaboratively to achieve a concentration of Facilities & Development (F&D) expertise and the enhancement of F&D capacity and capability across both DHBs through the implementation of a joint F&D team structure. The result is an exciting new service model that has created a number of new “great career step” positions with considerable “scale and scope”.

Reporting directly to the Service GM, this position has a focus on Auckland DHB based facilities and projects. Its primary function is as the finance enabler to effective management of capital projects, several of which are major, as well as overall provision of top notch financial and business information as required by a range of key stakeholders. You’ll be working with a number of cross functional specialist with a requirement to operate in a fully cohesive and collaborative team environment. All the fundamental Management Accountant requirements are included such as budgeting, forecasting, policy development etc.

The successful candidate will possess the core accounting skills required, be adept with Excel and strong on project accounting, but of primary importance will be proactivity, problem solving ability and very good communication and collaboration skills when working with peers and other key stakeholders. Specific experience with Oracle Project Accounting software, or Oracle software generally, would be a distinct advantage.
