In addition to supporting the Auckland district, over 50% of ADHB’s business is driven by other DHBs and the organisation is recognised for providing timely and effective services that its communities can rely on.
The Finance Manager works alongside the Director and General Manager for a portfolio of clinical services, supporting them to meet their objectives. This will include:
• Working closely with service management and the finance team to achieve joint goals
• Coordinating activities within the portfolio of services to provide effective financial management on behalf of the Director and General Manager
• Leading the budgeting process
• Providing quality financial and management information
• Identifying and reporting on business risks
• Managing a team of finance staff
• Streamlining accounting processes and procedures.
The position reports to the Operational Finance and Planning Manager, who reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer.
To succeed in this role you should have prior experience in a senior finance role with a management accounting emphasis, strong leadership and interpersonal skills and the ability and desire to master the financial complexity of the health and public sectors.
