The Fund
My client is in the early stages of establishing its fund and looking for a specific and exceptional person to own and cultivate the Chief Investment Officer role.
With an aim to launch early / mid-2019 my client has begun securing support from key organisations to ensure sustainable competitive advantage.
The fund has a clear sustainability / ESG focus and is set to make innovative direct private market, as well as public market, investments.
The Opportunity
The role is poised to gain momentum in 2019. However, for the suitably motivated person there is the prospect to contribute towards initial stages, including investing time in and collaborating with the founders on meetings, pitches and feasibility discussions.
The essence of the role will include responsibility for:
- assisting in establishing the fund from ground-up
- developing our SIPO and selecting initial and ongoing portfolio constituents
- guiding regulatory applications for manager licence and scheme registration including attending FMA meetings
- building the fund's profile as a diverse organisation
- actively promoting the fund via online and offline means including regular blogs and attending industry events.
Who You Are
You will have a genuine desire to improve environmental and social outcomes; to create and be part of something special.
You will be at a point in your career where you can use your profile to make sustainable positive change. And you’ll be ready to take that step.
Additionally you will have:
- a strong profile and track record in the Auckland and New Zealand managed fund sector
- existing relationships with FMA
- in-depth knowledge of Responsible Investment, ideally in the New Zealand 'green finance' sector.
My client offers fully flexible working options, including (but not limited to) adopting the 4-day week as full-time.
