Police Health Plan: Supervisor

Do you want to lead the team that runs the best health plan in NZ?
If this is you, the NZ Police Association is looking for the right person to lead its Police Health Plan (PHP), which is a key focus of our business of looking after the well-being of our members and their families.
Responsibilities include:
- Supervising the day to day operation of the Plan
- Working with health plan members to ensure they are correctly insured
- Reporting on claims and medical trends
- Overseeing all correspondence, staff training, underwriting, ex gratia payments and complex claims • developing process improvement models
Ideally, you will bring to this role:
- Leadership and problem-solving skills
- Experience in health or other insurance fields
- Familiarity with the principles of insurance underwriting
- A general knowledge of medical and surgical processes
- Self-motivation, a willingness to learn and the ability to adapt to change
- Professionalism in communication with clients and colleagues
