Group Product Manager

• Well established and profitable financial services organisation

• National position with NZ-wide network

• New and key position – from new product development to product training

The Client

This dynamic organisation supports a NZ-wide network of financial services businesses, and it has a proud history stretching back 50 years.

Recent structural changes have meant that there is now a strategic focus on business development.

This busy and exciting role has been established to strengthen the business development function and to help lead the organisation in a sustained period of growth, and product and service innovation; with an emphasis on product management.

About You

To achieve your goals and have fun in this role you will need to be a success-driven individual with a proven record of effective communication, and a passion to sell “New Zealand”.

You will also need to be motivated, confident, organised and energised.

Your key tasks include:

• Develop and roll-out of new products and services – from idea generation, through launch and promotion, to staff training

• Through the use of database management and the review of performance activity develop business support mechanisms and growth opportunities

• Develop and provide product and sales training for front line staff • Ensure the suite of product sustains its competitive advantage; including the development and maintenance of product marketing, sales and training material

• Promotion and incentive campaign development

• Monthly activity and KPI reports for the Board, management, and the operations network

•Liaison and negotiation with external service suppliers

You will need:

• To have a history of product management, and sales and marketing support experience, with a focus on business development

• Proven experience in project managing the exercise of bringing new product or product enhancements from idea stage through to full implementation

• To be a clear and effective communicator with proven experience in reporting, training and presentations

• A background in financial services (banking or insurance preferred) • Strong and empathetic customer relationship skills

• A willingness for some travel throughout NZ As part of a small high energy team your role is vital.
