Our client is part of one of Australasia’s largest and most successful financial services providers. Known for its product and broader business innovation, this is an organisation equally well regarded by both its clients and employees for its integrity.
Represented by several key brands, and committed to protecting the long term interests of New Zealanders, our client is guided in everything it does by its core values of team work, integrity, service excellence, optimism and creativity. Newly created, and reporting to the Managing Director, the Executive Manager Claims and Underwriting is a critical role that will make significant contributions functionally, but also to the broader organisational strategy as part of the Executive Leadership Team.
Leading a geographically dispersed team in excess of 30, this role will be responsible for building and continuously improving the claims and underwriting functions across all channels. In what is an increasingly competitive market, our client will further distinguish themselves via product innovation, and the provision of an exceptional customer experience.
Building on an already enviable reputation in both these areas, further opportunities exist to holistically and systematically drive improvements in the underwriting and claims processes. Supported by a team with considerable technical expertise, the Executive Manager will develop the strategies and drive the tactics that will see the organisation lead the industry in both these areas.
To be considered for this role, you will demonstrate:
• A broad understanding of the insurance sector and experience in, and passion for, claims and underwriting.
• Strategic agility; the ability to contribute meaningfully as part of the Executive Leadership Team.
• Interpersonal savvy and developed relationship building skills; the ability to operate effectively at all levels of the organisation and within the broader Australasian group.
• Demonstrated ability to manage successful teams through strong leadership capability.
• Proven experience in driving operational improvements to meet broader strategic goals.
• Previous experience in leading through change and process reengineering.
• Outstanding communication skills; the ability to articulate a vision and strategy to a range of stakeholders.
• Commitment to ongoing personal development. To signify your interest in this opportunity, apply online at http://careers.futurestep.com/ (Ref: KL911).
